If you don't want to pay the approx. $2,000 it costs to get started as a full time agent and/or pay the ongoing MLS and Board of Realtor dues, you can place your license with Summertree Inc. and send referrals to full-time Realtors and receive referral fees.

$100 annual fee.

No monthly or association dues.

Not a part of Realty Executives or Hedges Real Estate Inc.

Not a member of any Boards of Realtors or any Multiple Listing Services.

Not allowed to list or sell real estate - referrals to other agents only.

Receive referral fees - usually 60% of a 25% referral fee.  In other words, if you refer a buyer or seller on a $150,000 property, your referral fee after closing would be $675 if the agent you refer to agrees to a 25% referral fee to Summertree Inc.

Your continuing education and state licensing fees are your only costs.

These agents are only authorized to send referrals to full-time agents and receive referral fees and cannot list or sell real estate.

Referral fees are split 40% to Summertree Inc. and 60% to the agent.

This is a great way to hold your license and potentially earn some money sending referals if you are not currently in a position to work full time listing and selling real estate.
